Private Sale
Sold on your terms.
You choose, per car, how openly it is offered. Buyers ask before anything is shared, and your name, documents and history reach a buyer only when you decide.

For owners
The owner chooses, per car.
- Shown openly
- A full listing, the way buyers know one.
- What a buyer seesThe exact price, or “price on request”, and the mileage, your description and your photos once a person has checked them, on a page search engines find. Documents only after an identity check, and only with your consent.
- Discreet
- An anonymous card, for owners who would rather not be seen.
- What a buyer seesPrice and mileage as ranges, the province at most, the verification score and your cover photo blurred. Photos and documents only when you release them to a buyer.
- Private
- Offered, but findable by nobody.
- What a buyer seesNothing at all. You still see how many verified buyers are looking for a car like yours, never who, and a Carnoat specialist may get in touch.
- Only through Concierge
- A specialist handles every request.
- What a buyer seesThe same anonymous card as a discreet car. Every question goes to a Carnoat specialist, who guides the sale with you; you never deal with a buyer yourself.
What a buyer gets back.
For a discreet car, an outline, never an address: enough to know the car is worth asking about, nothing that points to its owner.
The buyer writes
“Porsche 997 GT3, full service history, under 60,000 km”
Carnoat finds
2007 Porsche 911 GT3 (997)
- Mileage
- 55,000 to 60,000 kmA rounded range
- Location
- BelgiumThe province at most, never the town
- Car history
- Documented, verification score 85/100
No name, no plate, no address. The owner decides whether to respond.
How a request goes
It starts with a question
A buyer writes to the owner: about the price, a viewing, the history. The question reaches the owner only once the buyer’s identity is checked, once and free.
The owner’s answer accepts it
The owner reads the question, never who sent it. Answering opens a conversation between “the buyer” and “the owner”; declining closes the request.
Names and the file, between checked identities
Names and contact details, documents and the car’s history pass only once buyer and owner have both passed an identity check. Each side shares its own name when it chooses; the owner releases documents one at a time or all at once, never an original.
The sale, between you
Price and payment are settled directly, never through Carnoat. Once both confirm, the history moves to the new owner with the car.
What stays private, always
- Ranges for a discreet car
- Price and mileage as “55,000 to 60,000 km”, never the exact figure.
- The town only if you choose it
- A discreet car shows the province at most; visitors without an account see only the region.
- No plate, no chassis number
- Neither is shown to a buyer, not even on an open listing.
- No location in photos
- Every photo loses its metadata, GPS included, the moment it arrives.
- Never the original
- A buyer sees copies with personal details blacked out, each approved by a person.
- Your name only when you share it
- In a conversation you are “the owner” until you share your own name and number.
Carnoat Concierge
A specialist at your side.
Advice on the price, help with the questions to ask, and a person who guides the conversation and the practical side of the sale. Carnoat never handles the money. The fee follows the sale price and is paid only by whoever asks for it, once the deal is done.
Concierge feesFor buyers
Two ways to find a car.
- Browse what is openly for sale
- Open listings from owners and verified dealers, with price, mileage and photos. No account needed to look.
- Describe the car, and let the search ask
- Write it the way you would say it to a specialist. Carnoat asks only what you haven’t said yet, then shows every car that comes close, discreet ones included, with what differs in plain words.
- Save it, and hear first
- A saved search tells you when a matching car is offered, and a saved car when its price drops.
Start with a sentence.
Searching and asking an owner a question cost nothing. All you need is an account; for a discreet car, also an identity check.
